Bootmakers with a Conscience

Timberland
At Timberland, we strive to be the most famous outdoor brand on earth while remaining true to our Earthkeeping values. In making boots, we face many challenges, like balancing durable versus lightweight materials, waterproof versus breathable constructions, functional versus stylish silhouettes. We have to weigh these trade-offs to ensure we’re delivering the best product with the least environmental impact. Bootmaking uses energy, chemicals and resources – all of which contribute to pollution. To reach our goals and live up to our reputation, we must do better.

We know this won’t be easy.  But that won't stop us from pushing the boundaries of boot building until high quality, low impact products are commonplace. To learn more about our efforts to design environmental harms out of our products, vist the Our Impact page.

Earthkeepers
Everyone needs to do their part—including us. We started Earthkeepers because we love the outdoors. Of course, we realize that by making our products, we’re part of the problem. We believe it’s time for all companies to look at how the way they do business affects the environment.  More Info
