How we manage our footprint - that is, our impacts on the planet and its people - is a reflection of Timberland's values and core business strategy. We aim leverage our corporate influence to make a positive contribution to the world. That's what Earthkeeping is all about. See below for the different ways you can engage. .

Voices of Challenge

In order to inform and constantly improve strategy and programs, we turn to the expertise of partners and critics alike for input on key issues and best practices. We are looking for your feedback – whether you are a practitioner, NGO, investor, student, or consumer – to help us tackle social and environmental challenges we and our industry face.

Join the conversation in our Forum. Here, you can have your say about topics in one of four categories focused on corporations' role in 1) fighting climate change; 2) creating sustainable products; 3) ensuring fair, safe and non-discriminatory workplaces; and 4) engaging communities. Visit the  Voices of Challenge Forum.

Our Impact

In 2008, Timberland released our long-term CSR strategy focused on four strategic goals, or "pillars": energy, product, workplace and service. On the left hand navigation of this page, you’ll find more information about these pillars by clicking on Our Impact. Here, you can find general summary of our strategy, commitments, and key initiatives. As you view this information, add a question or comment to the Voices of Challenge dialogue to engage with us on these issues.

Reporting

Timberland is committed to being transparent and accountable for our impacts. By communicating our performance publicly, stakeholders measure our progress and hold us accountable for planned improvements. At our Reporting & Downloads page, you can go directly to our key performance indicators for progress in CSR. Here you can view approximately 15 data points with context and analysis on a quarterly basis. You’ll also find our bi-annual CSR report and Dig Deeper papers, which provide more details about our strategy, programs, and performance. If you’re looking to get a quantitative understanding of Timberland's progress in CSR, this section is for you.
